I disagree with the school's idea for making every student carry around a laptop. The major concern I have for this is the fact that money will be an issue for some. The school is requiring kids to buy laptops, and if they can't afford them, then what? Will the school pay for theirs? If they pay for some of the laptops, they will feel pressure for buying them for everyone.
Another issue is technical problems. The school will defnitely need an IT departement to handle all of the problems the kids have with the laptops. We have enough problems already with the computers we have, laptops will make everything a mess.
The last major problem I see is distractions in class. Having people bring in laptops is just asking for them to play games and go on Facebook. It will bring more negatives then positives. Leave all of these issues to college when students actually need one.
