Internet Censorship in China

The People's Republic of China has various laws and regulations regarding what is allowed and what isn't allowed. The government is trying to censor online protests and public opinions that differ from their own. This is following Japanese riots and protests that escalated through chatrooms, forums, and various other social networks. Now the internet police has about 50,000 members and can delete comments in a matter of minutes. People are constantly tracked on line and some even can be imprisoned for what they say or do online. The government has absolute control over everything on the internet and limits all of the peoples' liberties.

I do not agree with what the Chinese government is doing with the internet situation. It seems unfair and morally wrong to invade people's private lives and control the interent. People use the internet for learning purposes and they may not ge the truth if the government is limiting what people can see or say. If this was going on in the United States I know that I would be mad. I get that they don't want to see any more riots, but there is definitely an easier and better way than internet censorship.
